Spend a weekend immersed in creativity and nature. Whether you're a practiced artist or a curious beginner, this retreat offers a welcoming environment to create, explore, and unwind among the forests and ponds of Carterville Acres. This two-day, one night retreat includes meals, hands-on workshops led by local artists Kelly Diemond and Marissa Perkins, and fireside conversations in the evenings.
Arrival, time to hike, kayak, or explore the grounds, a meditative art journaling activity, and evening fire circle. Snacks and dinner provided.
Sunrise walk to the beach, Jewelry-making session, mixed-media art session, and departure. Breakfast and lunch provided. Those interested in staying an additional night will received a reduced rate for cabins.
Marissa is a jewelry artist and maker based in upstate New York. Her work is inspired by and a summons to strong, adventurous women who love the outdoors. Her distinctive jewelry designs are inspired by nature and Marissa's love of the wild.
Kelly is a jewelry artist and instructor based in central New York. Her studio classes allow practicing hobbyists and curious crafters to experiment with metals and craft their own custom pieces. She has found her true calling in teaching, where she's hooked on seeing other budding artists find their joy,
Yes! Prior art or jewelry making experience is not needed.
Yes — we encourage you to bring any art journaling materials you love, as there will be opportunities for community crafting in the lodge. All required supplies for the scheduled sessions will be provided.
Registrants can receive a 50% refund if they cancel 30 or more days in advance. No refunds within 29 days of event.
Saturday snacks, dinner, and s'mores. Sunday breakfast and lunch. Vegetarian options will be avaialable; meal preferences and dietary restrictions will be collected from participants in the registration form.
